10+ Tech/Gadget Blogs that Dominates the Web

geek

Source: Geekculture

On this post I will not talk about PCMAG, Computerworld or ZDnet or other sites like that.  I have nothing against them, believe me they do have the best article and they are the most dugged sites too. But as a web designer, I like the sites that are not too “corporate” type, they are visually pleasant to view and there are not too much text on the pages. Feel free to disagree with me. I like blogs that gives unbiased review and also have a sense of humor (Gizmodo). If these blogs went down for a day there will be internet apocalypse and my web life will be shattered. If you want to dual boot, get info about new gadgets, find humorous post about Steve Jobs and Bill Gates , tech support or anything new with the latest technology these are the places to visit. So, without further ado, here are my daily web reading guardian angles:

Lifehacker

lifehacker

There is no other  website I like more than Lifehacker. There I said it. I love the Gina Trapini’s useful tips and tricks and also the featured desktop sections, where they present customized desktop from readers. Besides, Lifehacker provides guides on How to dual boot, triple boot, edit setting of the Computers (Mac/PC/Linux) to make it user friendly and many more useful posts that helped me so many times with so many tech problems.

Gizmodo

gizmodo

Gizmodo  is part of the Gawker media , that brings us latest gadgets and technology news. I am sure almost everyone knows about Gizmodo. The reason I really love Gizmodo is that, they tell it like is. They give honest review of the gadgets and keeps the people updated. Moreover, sometime they have this cool photohsop contest I really enjoy. I can’t really go to sleep unless I read through the awesome posts.

How to Geek

howtogeek

You want to know more about  windows system files, How to Block Emails from Your Psycho “Ex” in Your Gmail Account? Create a Bootable Ubuntu USB Flash Drive the Easy Way? How to Geek is the palce to look for. They even have an article about how to make your own computer. If you need any kind help with your computer this site you should visit.

Engadget

engadget

Chances that if you know Gizmodo than You Know Engadget. Engadget is another tech blog like Gizmodo that brings latest gadgets, cell-phone, laptop, camera and more. Gizmodo and Engadget  are two leading blog that every geek, nerd gadget lover knows about.

TUAW

tuaw

TUAW is Mac version of  Gizmodo. All the latest news you need to know about Apple and their products, TUAW has it.  This site also reviews cool mac software for iPhone, OSX and more. They also have guide on “So you just got….” which is basically walks you through what to do when you get a new apple product.

APCMAG

apcmag

APC articles about all OS’s reviews, how-to’s  and news. The thing that I like is about APC they have detailed pictured guide on how to dual or triple boot different OS’s in the same computer. If you want to lets say dual boot XP and Linux, check out their guide.

Techeblog

techblog

The name says it all. This blog is focused on latest gadgets and tech news. Some of the news overlaps between Gizmodo, Engdget and Techblog. However, they do have separate posts that are interesting.

Make Use of

makeusof

I really like makeuseof beacuse it has a really nice simple design. They provide cool tips and tricks and also shares links of website on the web that are useful.  They have  posts on broad categories. The things that I like about makeuseof  post is that they provide tips that you will probably use everyday. So, if you have not visited the site before check it out right now.

Boing Boing Gadgets

boingboing

Even though the name sounds funny, Boing Boing provides engaing and informal articles . I just love saying their name. Boing Boing. Haha.

Tips4linux

tip4linux

It would be unethical of me if I I did not include a site for Penguin Lovers. Recently I installed Ubuntu and Tips4linux is the site I went to for any problem I had. This is almost looks like makeusof but it is mostly focused on tips and tricks about Linux computers.
