Digg the Design: Portfolio that says “Look at me”

alldesign

Hey everybody! Today is very exciting day for me. First of all, as you can the site has been redesigned. Also, two weeks ago I asked people to submit their wonderful Portfolio. I held off this post because I wanted to post it today. So you can enjoy DT’s new design and portfolio that I chose from the submitted list. I always enjoy creative design and there are so many talented web designers out there. I also, asked the designer about their inspiration behind their wonderful work. This way people can get better idea/inspirations when they are designing their sites.

I could not choose all the sites. The way I chose the sites is by their usability, clean interface and minimality. It is best idea to follow this web designers on twitter so can get more info about web design and more.

Great work guys!

Website/About: Design Moves Me is my portfolio and design blog that is a resource for design inspiration and news. The design approach I took was to have a colorful artsy brushstroke appearance. I achieved this textured look by using paint, paper, and grunge brushes in Photoshop. Detailed tutorial coming soon I promise!

Advice: Always strive to keep learning as much as you can. Once you’re no longer motivated, is when this competitive fast paced industry passes you by.

Website/About : I wanted to create a design that would also fit as a Wordpress theme, highly customizable with custom Wordpress options (eg. for Twitter and feedburner links). The design is clean with some subtle textures.

Advice: Keep practicing you will get where you want to get!

Website/About : Nature, you’re always in it and you see it every day. And most of the time I get my inspiration from it. That’s why I chose a nature-theme for my website, using grass and leaves. The original design had more foliage in it, but it was a little overkill so I scrapped most of it.

Advice: Look at the world around you! For inspiration, don’t sit behind your computer, it comes from everywhere

Website/About: I’ve just always been a fan of real clean and minimalistic designs. And also wood textures. I think they give it a little more life than the usual plain background.Favorite Qute: “The man who has no imagination, has no wings.” – Muhammad Ali
