Bamboo Type Pattern
First, let’s look at the pattern we are creating

Create a document 200 x 200 .

Fill up with gradient . I am using two color for gradient #dfdfdf and #dfdfdf from left to right.

Go to Filter>Tile>Affine

You should see the following window, I Kept my scale to 0.004 and 0.06. What this does that it squeezes the the gradient into lines it creates a simple bamboo type pattern. You can also drag the rope to adjust the pattern properly, but it it will tile even if you don’t.

That’s it for this patterns .You have successfully created a nice pattern.

Creating a Cloth -Type Pattern

Again Create a new document 200 x 200 .

Fill it with Dark brown color #2A1B14.

Then, Go to Filter> Quartz Composer> Stylize >Pixellate

You can play around the setting pretty much as you like. For this tutorial purpose I am keeping the the amount to 0.13 and Soften 0.35. If you move the soften to a higher or lower number the effect will change.

Here is the final result.

Go to Filter>Generator>Stripes

Which should Give you the following screen. The stripe is generated but you need to adjust it. The width is size of each column of the color. Keep it as you want.I kept it two because it looks nice to color wise.
Move the Patterns around, so when it repeats it tiles.
