Designing Print Based Flyer in Photoshop
Flyers are great way to promote events, shows, ceremonies and many more occasions. Designing and printing them is really a fun process. In this post we are showing you how to create flyer in Photoshop for printing.
First, lets see the result:

Before we start anything, know what size your printed flyer is going to be, it is have a bigger size, you can always make it smaller. For the tutorial purpose we are going to something similar. Not exactly the same one. Here I am just sharing my work process with different effect so you can get an idea how to create your own. You can also download a flyer template for easy work process.
Here is what we are creating, which looks similar to the flyer.

Step 1:
Create a blank document and fill it with black #000000 and Select Foreground color Purple #5c0f68 and we are going fill in the middle with a rounded gradient. Don’t forget to create a new layer.

Here is how it should look.

Step 2:
We will resize the gradient after we type out the word. I am using Letter Gothic Std Font. Type out the letter above the gradient and apply outer glow.

Use the outer glow layer style. Setting are included the outer glow color is # ffd864.

Step 3:
Now are going add the sparkles. The way I am doing it is by using the Pen tool to draw path stroking brush. The trick to get large to smaller brush is by using Simulate Pressure property. You can draw any kind of shape or lines with the Pen tool and stroke each time. We are also using Brushes Property to Scatter the brushes.

Before we stroke the path, we need make the sure the brush is scattered. Now, select the Brush tool ( Keyboard Shortcut B) and select the 3px brush from the drop down menu from the Option menu or right click on the screen. Now go to windows and select Brushes Window ( Keyboard Shortcut F5) and change the scatter setting. Here are the settings:

Step 4:
Now, select the shape using Path Selection Tool ( Keyboard Shortcut A) and right click on the screen to get the following window.

You can add a little blur if you want. Here is how it should look like.

Step 5:
Now we are going to draw the swoosh using pen tool .

Stroke the path using Simulate Pressure.

Step 6:
Apply following layer style: Color overlay and Outer Glow.
Outer Glow color is #1d6ab2.

Color overlay color is #879255.

Here is the result after the the layer styles applied.

The final step it to print . Here are the online places I would recommend :
1. UPrinting
2. PrintPlace
3. PSPrint
Most of the time you can upload your PSD, jpg, png or AI file and they will print and ship it to you. That’s it!
Again, here is how the flyer I designed came out.

P.S: The iART name is not related to Apple in anyway. The flyer was created for and Interactive Multimedia event.
