8 Fresh and Useful Mac Apps for Designers

We are always on the lookout for useful applications and we have been monitoring Apple Imaging & 3D application repository for new software. Here are 8 recent images editing, drawing applications we have found that looks handy and will save you lot of time in your daily projects.

HDRtist

License: Freeware

Easily Create HDR images from multiple images or Pusedo HDR from a single image.

Image Commander

License: Shareware

A very handy image editing software for advanced thumbnails with 3D styles and effects in just a few clicks. Can very useful for blogger for quick thumbnails with styles.

DotMatrix

License: Freeware

A very cool application for instant photo-manipulation,  Photoshop-like eye-candy, shareable codes and also create images with retro effects from your iSight camera.

WouldjaDraw

License: Shareware

Another Drawing application with simple and practical interface.

PhotoStyler

License: Shareware

Need some lomo or polaroid effects added to your images right away? You won’t need to turn to Photoshop for that. PhotoStyler has a lots style that you can apply to your pictures to make it look professional and appealing.

Hobiconer

License: Freeware

Yet another image resizer, What is so special about Hobiconer? Anyone can use this tool to convert their images with different sizes, formats and moreover, it shows the preview of the size.

Spot Color

License: Freeware

A must have little app for every web developer and designer to sit on their dock. Quickly pull out the Hex value of a color or find out the Hex value of any color on the screen.

SimpleCap

License: Freeware

One of the best screen capturing menubar app we have seen. Comes with some handy features such as trimming, copy to Clipboard and may more.

    I also find an app called paparazzi really useful, lets you screen grab an entire webpage (below the fold too).

    I once used a trial of Pixelmator. Much of Photoshops functions, but way more speedy to load.

    I personally think Skitch is the best screen capturing software out there for mac. It’s free and fast.

      I have not tried Skitch yet, but have heard a lot of good things about it.
